My name is John but I am better known on line as The Old Coot. I have been in photography my whole life and have run the gamut of Box Brownies,4X5 graphics, and K-20 Aerial Cameras, and finally to a Minolta XG-1 - 35mm Film Camera.. Had the pleasure of going to the US Navy School of Ground photography and then to their Aerial School, Served aboard the USS Coral Sea (Aircraft carrier) as several different kinds of Photographer overseas in the mediterranean. Went digital 2 years ago, first with a Minolta Dimage 2A, which was a great Camera but would not interchange lenses. Enchanted with doing Bird Pictures, OC switched to a Cannon Rebel XT which he dearly loves so he can use bigger lenses

He is 77, lives in Rock Hill, S.C. with his dear sweet loving wife Joy and a yard full of Flowers, Birds and Squirrels. OC is pretty well handicapped, using mostly a wheelchair full time, a walker to get into the chair sometimes . OC Hopes you will enjoy his photos.
